C SECTION RECOVERY

It's really important we appreciate the demands of both pregnancy and delivery mode, whether that be vaginally or abdominally. Historically women have been told to wait until 6 weeks to drive then up to 12 weeks to return to your normal life and exercise, which is neither realistic with a baby nor will it support your healing to allow you to return to full function. Approximately 1 in 5 women deliver via abdominal caesarean section which is major abdominal  surgery and requires a progressive rehabilitation plan. Scar pain, both local and radiating, can also occur post- caesarean to help improve scar thickening and avoid more persistent pain. Jo can support your rehabilitation and self management
